Police are investigating a reported knifepoint threat involving a taxi driver in Carlton.
The incident was reported at about 2.35pm on Wednesday 28 January, when neighbourhood officers on patrol in Gedling Road were flagged down by the driver. He told officers that an altercation had taken place inside his taxi and that he had been threatened with a knife by a passenger who left without paying the fare.
Police believe the man left the vehicle at the junction of Main Road and Hardy’s Drive before running towards Duncroft Avenue.
The driver was not injured but was left shaken.
Officers are reviewing CCTV and doorbell footage and have appealed for information from anyone who was in the area at the time. Police said they do not believe there is any wider risk to the public.
