Team celebrates as housing development sells out

After more than six years on site at its Papplewick Green development in Hucknall, David Wilson Homes has celebrated the end of an era with a topping out ceremony now that the site has successfully sold out.

The construction team who have helped to build the community over the years, came together to celebrate the success of the development as they put the final touches on the remaining homes. With the homes now completely sold out, the ceremony marks the final milestone at Papplewick Green.
Located on Kenbrook Road, the 325 home development proved extremely popular with Nottinghamshire homebuyers since construction first began in autumn 2009, with the first homes going on sale in 2010.

Site Managers throughout the progression of the development managed to scoop four NHBC Quality Awards and one Seal of Excellence Award for the site.
The three phases at the development have brought much-needed, quality two, three, four and five bedroom homes to the area of Hucknall whilst also creating a thriving new community.
Ian Pearson, Site Manager at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “We are thrilled with the success of our Hucknall development Papplewick Green and will be sad to no longer be building anymore homes onsite.
“Throughout the course of the development we have had an excellent construction team and have all worked together to provide quality homes in the area that suit the needs of a range of different buyers.
“We’ve received great feedback from residents who live on the development so far and we are looking forward to seeing the last customers moving into their new homes.
“This topping out ceremony was a great commemoration to conclude our time at Papplewick Green and celebrate the hard work of everyone who has helped to make this community what it is today.”
Homebuyers who are still looking to move to the area are encouraged to visit David Wilson Homes’ nearby development Hollygate Park in Cotgrave.
