A police foot chase resulted in the arrest of a teenager in connection with a reported knife-point robbery in the city centre.
The victim, a 18-year-old man, was walking along Glasshouse Street when he was stopped by a group of males.
One suspect reportedly pulled out a knife and threatened him, demanding his bag, phone and coat.
The offender took the items and the suspects then ran off towards the Victoria Centre.
No-one was injured during the incident which happened at around 9.30pm yesterday (Friday 2 October 2020).
Officers quickly responded to the report and a short time later spotted one of the suspects in Upper Parliament Street who matched descriptions given.
He ran off but was pursued by officers who managed to catch up with him and arrest him.
A 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of robbery remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This incident would have been a frightening ordeal for the victim and I am pleased that we were able to make an arrest after some good police work.
“The boy is now being questioned in connection with the robbery and we are working hard to trace other individuals suspected to have been involved.
