A teenager has been arrested after a boy was stabbed.
Police were called to Bells Lane, Aspley, shortly before 9.55 pm last night (Thursday 22 June) to reports of a stabbing.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody while a thorough investigation continues.
The victim aged 16, remains in hospital with potentially life-altering injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Thanks to quick work by our response officers we arrested a suspect shortly after the incident took place.
“I understand the worry and concern this incident may bring to people in the community, but I want to reassure you that we do believe this to be an isolated incident.
“We are carrying out a full investigation into what’s happened, but I want to ask anyone who may have any information on what happened or saw anything to please get in touch.”
