Teenager assaulted and robbed in the street

A suspect has been charged after a teenage boy was robbed.

The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was walking along Ceryil Avenue, Stapleford, when he was assaulted and robbed at around 6pm on Friday 10 June.

A bracelet was taken during the attack but the victim was not seriously hurt.

Nottinghamshire Police immediately began an investigation and a 25-year-old man was arrested later in the evening on suspicion of robbery. He was later released under investigation.

Curtis Hodgkinson, aged 19, of Selside Court, Chilwell, has been charged with robbery.

He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court later today (Tuesday).

Detective Sergeant Laura Gooch, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Robbery is an extremely serious offence and we are working hard to investigate this case. I am please we have now been able to charge a suspect and out investigation continues.”
