A teenager has appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged house burglary.
The occupant woke up to find his kitchen cupboards were wide open and items had been moved around.
He then discovered his two laptops and a mobile phone were missing and reported the burglary to police.
Also stolen were a coat, some keys and his wallet, which contained bank cards and cash.
The alleged break-in happened in Wollaton Road, Wollaton, at around 5am on Sunday 5 September.
A 17-year-old boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday 11 September) charged with burglary.
He was remanded in custody until he next appears in court on the 17th September 2021.
Investigator Samantha Fowler, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We understand how upsetting burglaries can be for residents which is why we treat reports seriously and investigate them.
“We continue to work tirelessly to prevent burglaries from happening and I want to reassure people that we will always endeavour to put suspects before the court at the earliest opportunity.”
