A teenager is set to appear at court charged in connection with an alleged aggravated burglary in Bestwood.
It follows a report of two men who allegedly entered a property in the Bestwood area armed with hammers before threatening the victim and then taking his car.
No injuries were reported during the incident which happened on Monday morning. A suspect was arrested yesterday.
Corey Fawsitt, 18, of Bestwood, is charged with aggravated burglary and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today.
Detective Sergeant Lee Cattell, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are carrying our extensive enquiries to track down a second suspect in connection with this alleged incident which happened in broad daylight.
“I want to assure the public that we will continue to be relentless in our efforts to track them down and bring them to justice.
“Burglary is an incredibly upsetting crime and can be terrifying for victims who should feel safe in their own homes.
“We take incidents such as this one extremely seriously and will continue to work hard to tackle burglary.”
