Police have charged a man for causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal after a video emerged over social media.
Owen Rippon, 18, of Woodville Road, Nottingham, was charged on Wednesday 5 March and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates Court today (Thursday 6 April).
The dog has been located and has been taken to the vet where he has been assessed and examined and deemed fit and well.
