A 19-year-old man is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today charged in connection with a weapons offence.
George Redfern, of Kilton Road, Worksop, is charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The charge relates to an incident that is alleged to have happened in Bridge Place, Worksop at around 11.35pm on Saturday 19 September.
A knife and a hammer were recovered by police after a man suffered minor injuries to his hand and torso.
Redfern was remanded in custody pending his court appearance today.
Detective Sergeant David Prest, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police takes knife crime very seriously and we will thoroughly investigate any incident reported to the force.
