Teenager pleads guilty to Meadows stabbing


A 17-year-old boy has pleaded guilty after a stabbing in a shop in The Meadows.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon via video link at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday 7 October 2019.

On Monday 16 September 2019, Nottinghamshire Police was called to a shop in Sweet Leys Road, The Meadows, Nottingham, following reports of a boy stabbing another boy in the chest.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment of a stab wound to the chest but is expected to make a full recovery.

The boy will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday 18 November 2019 for sentencing.
