Four teenagers were arrested and several large knives recovered after police were called to a disturbance.
Officers were called to an address in Longden Street, Sneinton, at around 8.30pm yesterday (Saturday) after several people were reported to have arrived at a party in possession of knives.
After leaving for a short time they are said to have returned and attempted to force their way back in to the address.
Police were quickly on the scene and, during a search of the local area, detained four suspects in nearby King Edward Park.
Four knives were also found nearby.
Four boys, two aged 17 and to aged 16, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remain in police custody.
Investigations are ongoing.
Detective Constable Paul Crofts, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a great bit of work by officers who were on the scene very quickly and soon had four suspects in custody.
“We treat all reports of knife crime and violence with the utmost seriousness and deployed multiple units to this incident.
“We now have four suspects in custody and have also recovered a series of potentially lethal weapons which will now being examined as part of our investigation.”
