Teenagers arrested in Trent Boulevard after attempted robbery in McDonald’s West Bridgford

Officers quickly located and arrested two suspects after a report of attempted robbery at a fast food restaurant.

Police were called after two victims were alleged to have been threatened in the McDonald’s restaurant in Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford at around 11pm last night (Monday 5 April 2021).

It is thought that two people ‘patted down’ the victims and threatened them before fleeing the area.

Officer attended and spotted two boys believed to be linked to the investigation in Trent Boulevard a short while later.

The boys, both age 16, were swiftly arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery in connection with the report.

Detective Sergeant Lauren Morgan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Robbery is a serious offence and we will always look to take appropriate action against offenders.

“Officers did a fantastic job to quickly locate and arrest two suspects after the report was made to Nottinghamshire Police.

“Both boys have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

“We are now working to establish the circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area at the time to report it to us on 101 quoting incident number 823 of 5 April 2021.”
