Teenagers charged after Nottingham school burglary

Four teenagers have been charged with burglary after a local school was targeted.

The incident happened at Bluecoat Beechdale Academy on Saturday 13 January where CCTV cameras and windows were damaged and a number of items stolen.

Two boys aged 14 and two boys aged 15 have now been charged with burglary. One of the boys has also been charged with criminal damage.

The boys identities cannot be disclosed for legal reasons. They are due to appear at Nottingham Youth Court on Wednesday 10 April.

PC Gina Northwood, beat manager for Bilborough, said:

“Anti-social behaviour and criminal damage is a top police priority for this area.

“Hopefully, the public will be reassured that we take all reports extremely seriously. For this particular incident we have now charged four boys with burglary.”
