Two teenagers have been charged and remanded in custody over the alleged stabbing of a 17-year-old boy.
Hasnein Shahid, aged 19, of Nottingham, and a 15-year-old boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, have been charged with wounding with intent following an incident in Oakdale Road, Bakersfield, at around 6pm on Monday (11 April 2022).
They are both due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday 16 April 2022).
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “While I am pleased we have now been able to secure charges in this case our enquiries remain very much ongoing and I would urge anyone with information, who hasn’t yet come forward and spoken to us, to please do so.
“Knife offences can have a devastating impact which is why we continue to work relentlessly all year round to tackle knife crime, reduce violence and take positive action to keep people safe.”
