Two teenagers have spent the night behind bars after a man and a woman were threatened in Nottingham.
Officers received a report of the victims’ car being chased by another vehicle shortly after 10.30 p.m. on Friday 15 September.
Stopping on Woodhouse Way, Bilborough, the victims explained to officers they had also been threatened with a knife.
Enquiries led police straight to an address where two suspects were arrested.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of malicious communications, affray, and possession of cannabis.
An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray.
Both remain in custody while inquiries into what happened continue.
Sergeant James Rimmington, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Thankfully no one was injured during this incident but as we say time and time again, this type of behaviour and the use of weapons to create fear will never be tolerated on our streets.
“I want to reassure the community that we do believe everyone involved is known to each other and thanks to the quick work by our response officers we were able to make an arrest swiftly.
“Our investigation is continuing and my team are working hard to understand exactly what has happened. ”
