Traffic restrictions will be in place at the junction of Alford Road, Melton Gardens and Beckside in Edwalton.
The project is scheduled to start on Wednesday, 30 August, and is expected to continue until Tuesday, 5 September.
Works are scheduled to run 24 hours a day.
During this period, traffic will be managed through a four-way signal system.
The primary objective of this project is to carry out joint hole and cabling trenching works.
