The 14 ponies that saddled motorists with delays in night-mare A610 closure yesterday

Fourteen ponies caused traffic chaos yesterday when they roamed free on the A610 – the road was closed for a few hours. But not furlong. 

Nottinghamshire Armed Policing Unit said in a tweet:

’14 very swift ponies enjoying a few moments of freedom by causing chaos on the A610 and near M1 J26. Slowly being corralled back to enclosure and roads reopening. No injuries. Some good shouts here for the #GrandNational in a few weeks time – lump on!’
