The Alchemist to open Nottingham restaurant in iconic King Street building

The Alchemist will open at the former Hard Rock Café and Tropeiro premises in the city.

Nottingham’s Box Property have brokered the deal which will see The Alchemist add Nottingham to its portfolio of restaurants. The business has premises in Newcastle, Alderley Edge, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham.

The brand is part of the Living Ventures stable which includes Gusto that opened in West Bridgford in 2017.

The design of the new venture will reflect the heritage and nature of the iconic city site.

The brand describes itself as;

‘Based in bustling UK city centres The Alchemist lets the inner inventor flourish… Join the scientists and mad men, exploring and inventing, twisting and changing with the world around us. Mixing unexpected ingredients with unconventional equipment and remarkable craftsmanship to create cocktail concoctions worthy of a true alchemist.’

It specialises in cocktails and a variety of menu items.
