The Becket School achieves record GCSE results

Students at The Becket School are celebrating their outstanding GCSE success.

This year, our students achieved an exceptional Progress 8 score of +1.13 and an average Attainment 8 grade of 5.73. We are especially proud of our Pupil Premium cohort, who achieved a Progress 8 score of +0.88 and an average Attainment 8 grade of 5.2.

These results continue the school’s consistent upward trajectory, building on previous years’ successes and representing our strongest outcomes to date. They reflect the determination and ambition of our students, alongside the dedication and expertise of our staff, who have supported them over the past five years, and the encouragement of parents and carers throughout.

At The Becket School, we are guided by the mission of Christ in the Gospel: that our students may have “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10). This is lived out through our Becket Way – working hard, being loving, and doing the right thing. We are delighted that many of our students will now continue their journey into our outstanding Sixth Form, while others are taking up places at colleges, apprenticeships and beyond. We congratulate all of them on their hard work and achievements, which lay the foundations for their exciting next steps.

Mr. Bradley Assistant Headteacher of The Becket School expressed his pride in the school’s achievements: “These fantastic results are a true reflection of the dedication, hard work, and great attitude that our students have shown throughout their studies. I also want to commend our staff, whose tireless efforts and commitment to excellence have played a crucial role in this success. We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved, and we look forward to celebrating their future accomplishments, particularly as many move on to our outstanding Sixth Form.”
