The Festival of Food and Drink at Thoresby Park

To Celebrate its 11th year, organisers have highlighted 11 great activities taking place at The Festival of Food and Drink at Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire on 21 and 22 September 2024.

The Cookery Theatre welcomes TV favourite chefs showcasing delicious dishes.

Rosemary Shrager, Phil Vickery, Rachel Allen, Chris Bavin, Marcus Bean and Bake-Off stars, 2024 winner Matty Edgell and runner-up Josh Smalley. For appearance days and times see the festival website and remember seeing the guests is included in the ticket price.

Explore over 160 stalls offering award winning food, drink, street-food, gift, craft, homewares, and treats.

Many of the exhibitors are local businesses, some well-established and other newcomers, all are committed to delivering the best food and drink on the market. From locally produced breads and cheeses to international spices, cakes and biscuits to gluten free treats, fine wines to craft ales and delicious new beverages.

The hot food traders offer a sensational selection of street food and bars, serving up innovative and exciting flavours from around the world. There will also be Fire BBQ demonstrations at the Flavour Town Fire Stage, courtesy of LumberJaxe.

With a great selection of local breweries, bars and drink traders including bubble tea, fresh lemonade, English wines and more serving a variety of cocktails and drinks throughout the weekend. Enjoy and soak up the atmosphere with live music across the weekend.

The Beautiful Things marquee offers a gorgeous range of gifts and crafts from UK designers; hand crafted jewellery, pottery, original artwork, accessories, and homewares, each chosen for their bespoke range and quality.

The Kids Cookery School will have a range of sessions which can be booked on the day for just £4 – with places allocated on a first come, first served basis. Children taking part must be 6 years or over. Dairy Maid, Lee-Anna Rennie-Johnson, tutor at The School of Artisan Food will host some of the workshops including ice cream making and cheese and butter making. There are plenty of other children’s activities including The Circus School and ArtVentuers crafts, as well as Rhubarb Farm. Paid activities include archery and axe throwing, a traditional Carousel and Ferris wheel and bungee trampoline.

Unlock the Art of Mixology and immerse yourself in the alchemy of cocktail creation with George Greenhalgh, Co-Founder of multi-award-winning Cocktails at Home. Relax and sip Mojito’s in the Cocktail Garden and enjoy the Live Music which will be on tap throughout the entire weekend.

Coffee Tasting and Brewing with Stokes Tea and Coffee – a 45-minute workshop to discover the journey from tree to cup. Fee applicable

The festival is dog-friendly too, with many traders offering treats and products for pets.
