The Friary is hosting one of its regular Bargain Sales on Saturday 1 June.
The sale is from 10am till 12 noon at the Drop-In Centre at 46 Musters Road. As well as the opportunity to pick up a bargain, there is also a chance to socialise and learn more about the organisation and the work it does.
Chief Executive Ben Talbot explains a bit more about how the sale works.
Ben said:
“Our sales are always well attended due to the variety of items that we are able to offer. The main Scout Hall has a huge array of adult’s clothing, shoes and giftware.
“In the Drop-In Centre there is children’s toys, games etc, jewellery, a tombola and refreshments (cake, tea, coffee and soft drinks).
“Over the road at our donation centre we have electrical items, bric a brac and books. Outside of that building we have a number of bikes for sale that have been refurbished by our resident bike expert Graham.
“He is also on hand to talk about any other bikes he has for sale. The sales have a really community feel to them and also raise much needed funds for the charity, supporting those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
“The weather forecast is good and we look forward to welcoming people to the Friary”.
