These stolen bikes recovered from a Nottingham care home – is yours there?

Police have released images of four stolen bikes they seized after making an arrest.

Each of the pushbikes were found by police during a visit to a Nottingham care home on 9 May.

A 17-year-old boy was subsequently arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods following the discovery of the bikes.

Police believe they were taken at some point over the last month but have so far been unable to trace the people who own them.

Sergeant Lee Wilson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Our ask is that anyone who recognises any of the bikes pictured gets in touch with us, so that we can return their property to them.

“Checks have so far proved negative on our police systems to try and locate the owners of these bikes, while we’re also trying to piece together where they could’ve been taken from.

“Our current belief is they were stolen at some point over the last month, so we’d urge anyone who has lost their bike and believes one of these could belong to them to please get in touch with us.

“Proof of ownership will be required, along with the time and location of the theft. Any information can be left by calling police on 101, quoting incident 25000258046.”
