Police officers caught two thieves breaking into a store after they forced the door.
Police on patrol discovered the break-in in progress at Next at Northgate Retail Park in Newark-on-Trent at 2.35am on Sunday, October 9.
The alarm was activated, and officers noticed two men fleeing the address carrying items of clothing.
The tills in the store have also been damaged.
Two men aged 40 and 44 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Detective Inspector Daniel Johnstone, who is investigating the incident, said: “Officers were on routine patrol when they came across this burglary in progress. This should send out a clear warning to burglars that if you attempt to break into businesses in the area then we will be there to arrest you.
“The clothing stolen from the store has been recovered and we have officers at the scene conducting more inquiries. This is a good result and shows the force’s commitment to burglary.”
