Nottingham City Council says it is incredibly ‘sad and disappointed’ to share that the formal garden in the Arboretum has been targeted by thieves again.
A spokesperson said:
‘Over the past few months, a large number of plants have been stolen, and despite Nottingham Green Guardian volunteers and Nottingham City Council staff replacing them just last week, we arrived this morning to find yet more gone.
‘All of our parks, nature reserves and woodlands are public spaces for everyone to enjoy—and these actions undermine the very spirit of our community.
‘We have reported each incident to the police and put in place extra community-protection measures.’
‘If you notice anything suspicious, please speak to a member of staff on site or call 101.
Thank you for standing with us to protect and preserve this special place.
