As part of a pre-scheduled training exercise Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue will attend Nottingham Castle tomorrow (25 May).
Following extensive regeneration work at the Castle, the exercise will provide an opportunity for fire crews to test scenarios for any potential future incidents.
Eight fire engines, including a Command Support Vehicle, will take part in the exercise.
Simon Lilley, Station Manager at London Road Fire Station, said: “As a key historical site in the county, we conduct regular training at the Castle to test our emergency plans.
“We would like to thank local businesses for their cooperation and ask that the public do not gather around the site while fire crews go about their work.”
Nottingham City Council has been informed of potential disruption to roads and traffic.
Local businesses around the canal and Castle have also been informed.
