A man was punched and kicked to the floor by a group of people who stole his e-scooter.
Police were called to Radford Road in Hyson Green at around 7.45pm last night (Wednesday 24 June 2021) after a man had suffered minor injuries in the incident.
It is believed that the group fled the scene in taxis after the assault and an investigation was launched to find those responsible.
Later in the evening, three boys, aged 16, 14 and 12, were all arrested in Nottingham city centre on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident.
Detectives are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant James Bond, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a senseless attack from a large group of people on a man who was left defenceless on the floor.“Thankfully the victim wasn’t seriously injured in the incident but whenever violence is used, there is always the potential for dangerous consequences.
“The stolen scooter has not yet been recovered but we are working hard to establish the circumstances.
“Officers did an excellent job to locate and arrest three suspects as part of the investigation and work is now underway bring those responsible to account.“I’d now appeal to anyone who has any information on what happened to come forward.”
