Three teenagers have been arrested following a report of a fight outside a Co-op store in Bestwood.
Police were called to Beckhampton Road shortly before 5.30 pm yesterday (Sunday) after it was reported that a group was fighting with weapons.
The offenders were quick to flee the scene, but inquiries led to the arrests of three 16-year-old boys on suspicion of affray.
One of the suspects was treated in hospital for a minor hand injury before being taken into custody for questioning.
No other injuries have been reported, and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Detective Sergeant James Hirst, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“While we believe this to be an isolated incident, we will be providing an increased police presence in the area to provide the public with some reassurance.
“We are speaking to a number of people in the area but do ask anyone who has any information to make contact with us if you have not already done so.
“If you have any CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam footage from the area yesterday, please get in touch.
“Officers remain in the area today carrying out inquiries. Please do also speak with them regarding any information you have or any concerns you may have following this report.”
