Three changes for Greens’ season finale

Ian Costello’s Nottingham Rugby squad, head to the Richmond Athletic Ground on Saturday afternoon, in good form and looking to end their season on a high, as they meet London Scottish in the final round of the 2016/17 Greene King IPA Championship (3:00pm kick-off).

Two wins on the trot, including last weekend’s 43-31 friendly win over the British Army in Portugal, have turned the tide for the Green and Whites, who head to West London full of confidence and with just three changes from the side that put 47 points on Rotherham Titans, in their last league fixture.

In the front row, TJ Harris comes in at hooker, whilst tighthead prop Ben Hooper is promoted from the bench to take the place of Will Stuart.

The only change in the backline sees Billy Robinson move to the right wing to allow George Worth to drop in at full back, with Charlie Thacker now featuring amongst the replacements.

Fly half Gearoid Lyons returns from suspension to claim a place on the bench, whilst prop Tom Heard also makes a comeback to the first team squad.

An eighth-place finish is still also a possibility for Nottingham, however they must ensure they claim a victory over the Exiles, and then look for Cornish Pirates to claim a victory over Bedford Blues at Mennaye Field.

The two teams last met in the very first Championship fixture of the season, back in September, with Nottingham coming out on top of a hotly contested fixture at The Bay. Oli Evans, Murray McConnell and TJ Harris all crossed over to score in a 25-22 victory, with Tiff Eden also having a productive day from the tee, converting all but one of the tries and kicking two penalties.
