Police investigating a violent robbery inside a house have charged three suspects.
Officers were called to Austray Avenue, Beeston, following reports a robbery had just taken place.
A car and jewellery were taken, while a man was assaulted during the incident.
Two people were also reportedly threatened with weapons, around 3.45am on Sunday (21 April).
The stolen car was tracked down and retrieved by police soon after, while three suspects were arrested.
A 20-year-old man, of no fixed address, and an unnamed 17-year-old boy have since been charged with robbery and threatening a person with an offensive weapon/bladed article.
A second 17-year-old boy, who again cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with robbery.
All three suspects are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (22 April).
Detective Inspector Chris Berryman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This would’ve been an incredibly scary experience for the victims, who are currently being supported by specialist officers.
“Thanks to a rapid police response, we were able to retrieve the stolen vehicle and have now charged three suspects with the robbery.”
