Three in court after street fight in Nottingham

Three men are due in court after people were injured in a street fight.

Police were called to a disturbance in St James’ Street, Nottingham city centre, at around 3am on Sunday (1 May 2022).

One of the victims suffered injuries to his eyebrow and lip, requiring stitches, and became unconscious.

Following enquiries detectives arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.

Leshae Traynor, aged 25, of Brindley Road, Bilborough, has been charged with wounding with intent, affray and possession of a knife in a public place.

Dominic Furniss, aged 25, of Skipton Circus, Bakersfield, is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.

Santinne Traynor, aged 26, of Park Drive, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, has been charged with assault by beating, affray and possession of cannabis.

All three are due to appear at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 4 May 2022).

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “As highlighted in this instance we will continue to work relentlessly, day and night, to tackle and reduce violence on our streets.

“These kinds of offences are treated extremely seriously by the force and we will always do everything we can to quickly apprehend suspects.

“I am pleased we have managed to charge three suspects in relation to these allegations who now await court.”
