Three suspects have appeared in court after a man reported being beaten, threatened and held against his will.
The victim, a man aged in his 40s, was reportedly attacked at a property in, Sneinton, Nottingham, on 15 February this year.
It is alleged that he was held at the property for several hours before being released and treated in hospital for injuries.
He was not seriously injured.
Detectives investigating the case, yesterday (Friday) charged three men with kidnap, blackmail and assault.
They are:
- Darshan Rathoor, aged 56, of Larwood Grove, Woodthrope, Nottingham
- Sirvan Rathoor, aged 28, of also of Larwood Grove, Woodthrope, Nottingham
- Inderpal Singh, aged 32, of Pemberton Street, Nottingham.
All three men appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday) and were remanded into custody.
They are next scheduled to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday 16 May.
Detective Inspector Steve Wragg, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have been working for several months to investigate this case and I am pleased we have now been able to charge three suspects. Our investigations will now continue.”
