Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary have arrested a suspect as they continue with their enquiries.
Officers quickly responded to reports of three men who forced their way inside an address in Melton Road, Edwalton, and assaulted a man and a woman.
A man was arrested within the property and detectives are hunting two other suspects in connection with the incident as they progress with their investigation.
The incident happened around 11.50pm yesterday (Friday 5 November 2021).
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “While incidents like this are incredibly rare we have increased our police presence in the area to provide reassurance to the local community while we press on with our investigation.
“We are working hard to locate two other men in connection with this contained incident, including checking CCTV footage, and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have recorded CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage which could aid us with our enquiries.”

A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary with intent and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
