Nottingham University Hospitals announced the sad news this afternoon.
Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further three patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.
“Regrettably that means that 219 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”
“The patients were aged 83 to 86, and died on the 2nd and 3rd of May.”
“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
