Hooker Ben Brownlie, flanker Jordan Coghlan and centre/fly half Gearoid Lyons have all agreed new deals with the Green and Whites.

24 year-old Brownlie, signed his first full-time contract at the start of the current season, on the completion of his studies at Nottingham Trent University.

Having made a total of 40 appearances for the club, scoring 7 tries since his debut in 2014, Brownlie has made 19 of those during Nottingham’s current campaign, scoring 4 of his 5 tries in the opening three games of the season.

Former Ireland Under-20 international back rower Coghlan (25) joined the club from Munster in the summer of 2016 and has gone on to appear 38 times in a green and white jersey, scoring 6 tries.

This season, after making 18 appearances and scoring 4 tries so far, he has impressed the coaching team enough to secure a new contract.

22 year-old back Lyons joined the Green and Whites in the run up to the 2016/17 season, moving from PRO14 side Munster and has been a regular in the #12 jersey this season, appearing on 16 occasions and 23 in total since arriving at The Bay.

Speaking about the addition of the trio for next season’s Greene King IPA Championship campaign, incoming head coach Neil Fowkes said:

“’Jordy’ will now be moving into his third year. His physical attributes are there for everyone to see and we just want to see him crack on and progress with us next year in the green and white.

“Ben’s one of the original Nottingham Trent University players from when from when I took over there five years ago. It’s great to see him coming through and we’re really happy to have him for another year at Nottingham and hopefully see him develop further.

“Gearoid again is going to be moving into his third year with the club. It’s great that we’ve got the continuity with Gearoid around the middle of our park. He’s the sort of guy that makes other people around him look really good with his skill set, so we’re really happy to have him here.”
