Nottingham City Council will start planned road resurfacing work on Sneinton Dale on Monday August 14th.
The work will be taking place from the junction of Trent Road and Edale Road and will begin on Monday 14 August and is expected to take around 20 days to complete between the hours of 8am and 16pm Monday to Friday each day. The work has been timed to take place during the school holidays when there is less traffic on the roads to keep disruption at a minimum.
To enable the road works to be carried out safely, Sneinton Dale will be closed to through traffic and there will be parking restrictions. The council will ensure that residents always have access to their homes, although there may be short delays.
During working hours Nottingham City Transport Services 43 (Red line) will not stop on Sneinton Dale and will instead divert along Carlton Road and Cardale Road but normal services will resume during the evenings.
Councillor Sally Longford, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Services and Local Transport, said: “This scheme forms part of the City Council’s highway maintenance programme and the work being carried out will ensure that Sneinton Dale continues to be safe for all road users. We would like to thank people for their patience while works are carried out on our roads.
“Nottingham has one of the best integrated transport systems in the UK and proactive road maintenance works like this play a vital part in keeping the traffic moving, making roads safer and improving journey times. This is important for drivers, businesses and public transport.”
