For £35 fans can enjoy a pie, peas and chip supper, fun question and answer session with the speakers and compere Simon Beetham, an opportunity to have photos with the stars and a chance to bid for exclusive sports memorabilia from each speaker’s club.

Tables of eight or ten are welcomed to the event as well as individual bookings and it’s all in aid of The Mayor’s chosen charities The Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and Grantham Canal Water Restoration Group.

Tickets can be bought now by emailing and fans will be contacted to submit their questions in advance of the evening or there is a chance to do so on the night.

The Mayor said: “Please come and enjoy what promises to be an unmissable night with some of our wonderful local sports heroes who have helped to put Rushcliffe and Nottinghamshire sport on the map!

“There are no introductions needed for these great stars who have been among the cornerstones of Nottinghamshire sporting success at their relative clubs and we’re delighted they are giving up their time in aid of great local charities.

“It’s your chance to ask a question or two you have always wanted to know the answer to, whether it’s on a club’s current fortunes or memories and stories on years gone past and all to support these wonderful local causes.

“We’re anticipating seats will sell quickly so don’t hesitate to secure your tickets today.”

Free parking is available at the venue at Nottingham Rugby’s ground at Holme Road, Lady Bay, West Bridgford, NG2 5BA.
