There was a fault with the signalling system earlier today in Nottingham.
At 5 am EMR said:
‘There is a complete loss of signalling affecting all of our routes in and out of Nottingham. We are currently unable to run any trains through Nottingham.’
In an update at 6:38 they said:
‘This is disrupting most trains through Nottingham which affects our London St Pancras/ Nottingham, Matlock/ Derby/ Newark, Norwich/ Liverpool, Leciester/ Lincoln/ Grimsby and Nottingham-Worksop routes.
‘The fault has now been fixed, but due to the earlier line closure there are now trains and train crew out of place so significant disruption is still affecting our services whilst we work to get trains running to their advertised times again.’
How does this affect my train?
‘Now that the signalling has been restored we are now working to resume our advertised timetable.
‘Some delays and cancellations in and out of Nottingham are expected for the next 2 hours. We expect our normal service to resume by 0800 on 22 April.’
