It’s behind the public play park and near to the Green 11 bus turning point and stop.

Around half a dozen vehicles and caravans / motorhomes are parked at the site.

They arrived yesterday lunchtime according to local people.

Mark Walker, Group Manager at Nottinghamshire County Council  said: “We were made aware of the unauthorised encampment on Adbolton Playing Fields on Monday, 24 June. The County Council responds to unauthorised encampments on land owned by us and uses civil powers for removal where appropriate.

“Our priority is the safety of the public and people on the site and we will consider all options open to us. As part of this process, we will carry out welfare checks of residents living in the encampment to see if they need support regarding health, social care, education or other issues.“
