Customers visiting Nottingham’s Victoria Shopping Centre will be in for a treat as a new food gifting store is set to open its doors on Saturday 19 June.
Nottingham based food design company TTK Confectionery have teamed up with the experienced Thorntons retail team and local suppliers to open a new Treat Kitchen store in the former chocolatier’s store. Combined, the store team have over sixty years retail experience.
The team will be led by Kay Dixon who has worked in confectionery gifting for eighteen years.
TTK CEO Martin Barnett said “the skills and knowledge that Kay and her team can bring to this store are invaluable, we are so excited to work with them on this new project.”
The store will feature a selection of delicious food gifts including sweets, biscuits, chocolates, and toffee.
Kay Dixon, Customer Experience Manager said “We are pleased to be able to continue offering our in-store personalisation and gift wrapping services but also excited to introduce customers to new products from the Treat Kitchen range.”
Working closely with local businesses, customers will be able to grab a take-away coffee provided by local roastery Stewarts, a delicious cake from Jasmin and the team at Homemade and a scrumptious ice cream from Bluebells Diary.
Treat Kitchen have not had a store in Nottingham since 2017 having chosen to build up their wholesale business which is now selling into twenty-one countries worldwide.
They now have a team of forty-five staff and design food gifting ranges for major retailers like Sainsburys and Morrisons.
Brand Director Jess Barnett said “We feel a strong connection to the city so I am thrilled that we have this opportunity to open a new retail store in Nottingham. We will be using the store to promote our local charity partners Base 51 and Double Impact with the profits of dedicated ranges in store going to fund some amazing projects across the city.”
Treat Kitchen are committed to becoming a more responsible business, for every purchase in store and online Treat Kitchen will arrange for a tree to be planted in their company forest.
Treat Kitchen have a carbon positive workforce whereby every staff member’s carbon emissions at home and at work have been offset. Much of the packaging used by Treat Kitchen is sustainable but for the few items that are not yet widely recycled we have a collection box where customers can return their packaging and receive a discount off their next purchase. These items are then sent off to be recycled by a specialist company.
