British Transport Police are on the way to the scene.
East Midlands Railways said at 7:58 on Tuesday 4 October:
‘There is a a trespasser on the railway at Long Eaton station.
‘This is between Derby and Nottingham this is affecting our services on the Crewe/Derby/Newark Castle route and our Intercity route.
‘At present the British Transport Police are are expected to arrive at 0900.’

‘Trains running through the area in both directions are currently delayed. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 0900.’
