Three people have been charged after officers discovered a large amount of suspected drugs and weapons.
Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle on Wednesday 13 May and discovered wraps of suspected Class A drugs, cannabis, cash and multiple mobile phones.
During a follow-up search of a property, officers found numerous suspected Class A drug wraps, cannabis, a baton and CS gas.
The offences are related to drug dealing in the Heanor area.
A woman and two men were charged in relation to the offences as follows:-
Mercadies Wilmot (33) of Hawthorn View, Nottingham
*Cannabis possession
*Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine
*Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine
*Possession with intent to supply heroin
*Possession with intent to supply MDMA
*Possession of an offensive weapon in a private place (baton)
*Possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device/thing (CS gas)
Byron Calder (20) of Beckley Road, Broxtowe, Nottingham
*Cannabis possession
*Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine
*Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine
Benjamin Taylor-White (23) of Highcliffe Road, Sneinton, Nottingham
*Cannabis possession
*Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine
*Being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine
Wilmot and Calder were given conditional bail and Taylor-White was remanded into custody.
All three are due to appear before Derby Crown Court on Friday 12 June.
Officers who made the arrests are from Derbyshire Constabulary’s Criminal Exploitation Team as part of Operation Kingfisher – an investigation into drug dealing in the county.
