Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed.
The 18-year-old victim was taken to hospital following the assault in Ramsdale Road, Carlton, shortly before 11.45am yesterday (Saturday). His injuries are not life-threatening.
Following enquiries by Nottinghamshire Police, officers arrested an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They remain in custody as enquiries continue.
Officers are also investigating whether it is linked to a mobile phone robbery at the same location at 12.09pm on 13 March. A knife was produced during the incident and threats made but there was no assault.
Detective Sergeant Lauren Morgan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said the two suspects were arrested overnight as part of the investigation.
“Thankfully the young man’s injuries are not life-threatening but clearly whenever a knife is used there is always a serious risk of harm, which is why we treat knife crime so seriously,” she said.
“While I understand this incident may have caused concern for local residents, we have two suspects in custody and are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the enquiry.
“Our enquiries are continuing and officers will be in the area again today speaking to people and gathering further evidence.
“If anyone witnessed the offence or has any video footage of any suspicious activity in the area at the time, I would urge them to please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 307 of 19 March 2022.”
