Detectives have charged two suspects as part of an investigation into a man’s murder.
Darren Davis, 46, was killed after being stabbed in Radford Boulevard, Radford, at around 3.45pm on Wednesday (10 August 2022).
Officers have been working tirelessly on the investigation since then and arrested suspects Faheem Younis and Ryan Aziz on Saturday (13 August).
Younis, 41, of Graham Street, Radford, and Aziz, 34, of Ilkeston Road, Radford, have now been charged with murder and remanded in custody.
Both suspects are due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 18 August 2022.
Detective Inspector Melanie Crutchley, who is leading the investigation, said: “We have today charged two suspects with the murder of Darren Davis but its important people realise our enquiries are still very much ongoing.
“Nevertheless, I would still like to place on record my thanks to all the police officers and staff who have been involved in this investigation so far for their tireless efforts in getting us to this point.
“As ever, our main priority here is finding the truth about what happened to Darren and ensuring those responsible for his death are put before the courts.
“I want to reassure Darren’s family that my team are chasing every possible lead available to us and doing all we can to get them the answers they need and bring them justice.
“Our thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.
“This is an ongoing investigation, so we’d still ask anyone with information, or who has CCTV, dash-cam, mobile phone or doorbell-cam footage from Radford Boulevard and/or Ilkeston Road, between 3.30pm and 5.30pm that day, to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 481 of 10 August 2022, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
