Police have released pictures of two puppies they wish to trace after burglars broke into a home and stole them.
The incident happened on Wednesday 12 June when intruders have entered a property in Ransom Road in St Ann’s through an unsecure door.
The thieves have stolen the two French Bulldog puppies while the occupant has been upstairs sleeping.
The puppies named Snowy and Kiki are around two months old. Nothing else was stolen from the property.
Officers have carried out numerous lines of inquiry including an extensive trawl of CCTV footage to try and identify the offenders.
They are now calling on the public’s help by releasing images of the two stolen dogs.
PC Hannah Disney, who is investigating the incident, said:
“As you can imagine this theft has caused unimaginable distress to the family.
“These were two puppies that have been taken from their home. We believe someone in the community will have vital information about their whereabouts.
“We are also calling on anyone who might have been approached and asked if they wished to buy the two puppies.
“We are hoping the public can help us further our investigation and help us catch those responsible and ensure the two puppies are reunited with their family.”
