Two in court after knifepoint robbery in Clifton

Two suspects have been placed before the courts following a knifepoint robbery.

The victim was punched to the face and threatened by a man known to him inside his home in Clifton, Nottingham.

After the offender fled, the victim discovered a number of items had been stolen from his flat.

He also later found out that a bank card had been taken and used fraudulently at a number of stores in the area.

Detectives have been investigating the incident, which took place between 25 and 26 May 2025, by analysing CCTV footage and carrying out local inquiries.

A 58-year-old man from Nottingham, has been charged with robbery and possession of a Class B drug.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (1 July) and was remanded in custody to appear next at Nottingham Crown Court on 29 July.

A 36-year-old woman from Nottingham has been charged with five counts of fraud by false representation and appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (2 July).

She will next appear on 20 October 2025 at the same court.

Detective Sergeant Hannah Frame, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Any robbery, especially those involving weapons, can be a harrowing experience for victims.

“The force has teams of detectives working hard to support victims, raise awareness around preventing robberies and put offenders before the courts.”
