Two men suffer stab wounds after aggravated burglary in Nottingham

Police say that they have charged three men following an aggravated burglary involving men armed with weapons.

Two men suffered stab wounds during the incident in Staythorpe Road, Staythorpe, at around 2.50am on Sunday, 9 January.

Amahnde Lodge, 21, of Melrose Avenue, Sherwood, has since been charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of criminal property and possession of cocaine.

Tialo Miguel, 21, of Hartley Street, Manchester, has been charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of greivious boidly harm with intent, possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property.

A further 20-year-old man, Emmanuel Murphy, of Highwood Avenue, Bilborough has also been charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of cocaine.

All three appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 17 January, and have been remanded into custody to next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 14 February.

Detective Inspector Gayle Hart, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Thanks to the hard work of our officers we have now charged three men in connection with this incident.

“Violent crime of this nature has no place on our streets and we will always do everything in our power to investigate any incidents that are reported to us.”
