Two more Nottingham patients die with coronavirus – city total reaches 236

Nottingham University Hospitals announced the news today Saturday 9 May.

Dr Keith Girling, Medical Director at Nottingham University Hospitals said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further two patients have died having tested positive for COVID-19.

“Regrettably, that means that 236 COVID-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.”

“The patients were aged 81 and 95, and both died on the 8th of May.”

“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
