Two people threatened with weapons at a Nottingham address

A suspect was arrested shortly after two people were reportedly threatened with weapons.

Police were called to an address in Harwill Crescent, Nottingham, shortly before 8.30pm yesterday (Thursday) evening following reports that weapons had been wielded outside.

Nobody was injured and police were quickly on the scene.

Armed officers later located a car linked to the disturbance and detained a suspect.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody.

Investigations are ongoing.

Sergeant Rob Palethorpe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We will always respond immediately to incidents of this nature to keep people safe. Violence of any kind is unacceptable on our streets – especially when it involved weapons.

“We are still working to understand what happened during this incident and would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard what happened. If they have not already spoken to us I would urge them to do so by calling 101 and quoting incident 727 of 24 of 2022.
