Two stolen cars recovered by police in Nottingham

Two suspected stolen cars were recovered in Nottingham as police arrested two men.

Officers acting on intelligence attended an address in Aberord Avenue, Bobbers Mill, shortly after 7 pm yesterday (Thursday) and found the vehicles outside.

Two men, aged 40 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of conspiring to steal motor vehicles.

They remain in police custody as further investigations are carried out.

The vehicles, which are believed to have been displaying cloned number plates, have been taken away for further investigation.

Detective Sergeant Paul Crofts, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Officers are currently investigating a spate of car thefts across the city and attended this address as part of their inquiries. Two suspected stolen vehicles have been recovered and a pair of suspects are now in custody.

“As our investigation continues, I urge anyone who has seen any suspicious activity at this location to contact us by calling 101 and quoting incident 622 of 15 February 2024.”
