Two suspected drug dealers were arrested after police pulled over a car.
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police’s knife crime team were on routine patrol in the Radford area when they spotted a suspect car.
Acting on intelligence, they followed the vehicle for a short time and pulled it over in Arnold Road, Bestwood at around 2.20pm on Thursday.
A search of the occupants revealed numerous bags of white powder secreted in their clothing. Mobile phones and cash were also recovered.
Two men, aged 32 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and were later released on bail.
Police Constable Ken Tinley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working hard to deny criminals the use of our road network and have a lot of information about vehicles and individuals we suspect to be involved in the supply of drugs.
“When we have reason to so do we will stop them, search them and bring them into custody. This was another good result that took a significant quantity of drugs off the streets and helped to make our city safer.”
